This was apparently in anticipation of the Velten family's move to Missouri. However, the Veltens were still living in Reedtown at the time of the 1880 U.S. census.5 
Marriage*Andrew married Mary Elisabeth Velten, daughter of Michael Velten and Katherine Miller, on 17 April 1877 in Assumption Church, located in Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio. The marriage ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Andrew Stiefvater. Witnesses were John Hahler and Mary Fischer6.7,8

Census 1900*Andrew Fritz (given age 58) was listed as the head of household on the 1900 Census recorded 18 June 1900 in Joplin, Jasper County, Missouri. The official date of this census was 1 Jun 1900. Also living in the household were his wife, recorded as Mary E. Fritz (given age 48), his son, recorded as Leo Fritz (given age 3), his daughters, recorded as Lena Fritz (given age 12) and Mammie Fritz (given age 8). Andrew emigrated from France in 1842 and was a naturalized citizen. He lived with his wife and three of their children in Joplin where he worked as a day laborer.10 
Death*Andrew died on 28 October 1911 in Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri, at age 69. He died at his home from an acute inflammation caused by rheumatism.1
