William Velton

     Word has been received here of the death in Salem, Ore., Aug. 11 of former Pocatello resident William "Bill" Velton.
     Velton was manager of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. here from 1944 to 1954. He joined the company in 1927 and retired in 1962.
     He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the chamber of commerce, and the Kiwanis Club. He served as president of the Idaho State Association of Life Underwriters.
     Funeral services for Velton were held Aug. 14 in Salem.
