Death*Mary died on 10 October 1945 in St. Mary's Hospital, located in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at age 13. She died of complications from a compound fracture caused by a fall at her home in Sedalia, Missouri. She had been hospitalized for almost three months at the time of her death. Her mother was living in Detroit, Michigan at the time of the accident.1

After arriving in New York, the family travelled to Missouri where they took up farming in Newton County.

The official date of this census was 1 Jan 1920. Also living in the household were his wife, recorded as Cora Stodden (given age 37), his sons, recorded as Francis Stodden (given age 20), Leo Stodden (given age 18), Fred Stodden (given age 7) and Bernard Stodden (given age 4), his daughters, recorded as Marie Stodden (given age 16), Nellie Stodden (given age 13), Helen Stodden (given age 12) and Leona Stodden (given age 10). Adolph was farming his own land in Monona County.3

Burial*He was buried on 25 February 1955 in St. Mary's Cemetery, located in Galena, Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Funeral services for Adolph were held at St. Mary's Church in Galena, conducted by the Rev. Paul Tuchlinsky, pastor. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Pettigout Funeral Home.2,10

ADOLPH STODDEN

     Funeral services for Adolph Stodden, 78, were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, last week at the Pettigout funeral home and St. Mary's church at 10 a.m., at Galena, Ill. The Rev. Paul Tuchlinsky, pastor, officiated and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
     Mr. Stodden died Monday at Cuba City, Wis. He was born July 6, 1876, in Germany, a son of Matthias and Gertrude Stodden. He came to this country and on Jan. 31, 1899, married Cora Belten. He farmed in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. He operated the Sunrise dairy in Mapleton before moving to Illinois.
     Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Marie Stodden of Louisburg, Wis., Eleanor Stodden, Leona Stodden and Mrs. Jack Folks, all of Galena, and Mrs. Earl Monroe of Chicago; five sons, Francis of Kingsley, Ia., Leo and Bernard of Galena, Fred of Smithland, Ia., and Leroy of Muscoda, Wis; 25 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother, Andrew, of Mapleton and a sister, Mrs. Kate Goerdus of Carroll, Ia.
 
(Preceded in death) ObitAdolph Stodden (husband) died before Mrs. Cora Stodden, and was mentioned in the obituary of her in The Mapleton Press published in Mapleton, Monona County, Iowa.11

Death*Charles died on 1 April 2016 in Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri, at age 89.1 
Burial*He was buried on 6 April 2016 in St. Mary's Cemetery, located in Pierce City, Lawrence County, Missouri. A funeral Mass was held st St. Mary's Church in Pierce City, officiated by the Revs. Peter J. Morciniec and Charles Prost. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.1
