Biography*Sebastian Hahl was one of the pioneer settlers and farmers of Reed township. They lived in Reedtown and were members of Reed Assumption church. He and his wife were married about 52 years and had ten children. 
Birth*Sebastian Hahl was born on 30 December 1818 in Alsace-Lorraine, France.1 
MarriageAssumed*Sebastian is assumed to have married first Frances Kuster before 1848 probably in Alsace-Lorraine, France.2 
Marriage*He married second Anna Maria Wilhelm circa 1851. 
Will*He made a will, dated 1 July 1902 and signed in Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio. Sebastian named his wife and ten living children in his will. Witnesses to the will were John F. Finkler and Henry A. Sali??. A trancription of the will follows.3

Will of Sebastian Hahl of Reedtown

I, Sebastian Hahl of Reed Township Seneca County State of Ohio, being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament
     To Wit:
First all my just debts and Funeral expenses to be first fully paid.
          Second, that I shall have a good and decent burial. Also a Stone shall be placed by my grave with my name engraved thereon also a place on same for my beloved Wife whose name shall be engraved at her death on same stone.
          Third I desire that Fifty Masses be given in my behalf and Fifty for my beloved Wife at her death the same to be paid from my estate.
          Fourth I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal to my beloved Wife

to her my paid Wife during her lifetime, at her death She shall have a good burial and fifty Masses as stated in third section of this will the same to be paid from residue of Estate left at time of her death.
          Fifth after the death of my beloved wife I desire that there shall be an equal division of the property then remaining between my children To Wit
