The official date of this census was 1 Jun 1900. Also living in the household were, his son, recorded as Thomas R. Ash (given age 2), his daughter, recorded as Josephine R. Ash (given age 7/12), his sister, recorded as Annie Ash (given age 28). Andrew lived in Marshall county with his two young children, having recently lost his wife, Josephine. His sister, Anna, lived with the family, probably to care for the children, altough she is listed as a farm laborer.2
