Walsh and husband Andrew, Valerie Velten of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Andrew (Drew) Walsh and wife Dana, Jennifer Espinel and husband Robert, Brian Walsh, Laura Walsh of NY; four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1995. Evelyn was born February 9, 1923 in Elmont, NY to Martha Dick and William T. Green. She married Joseph Velten on August 30, 1947 and upon retirement they moved to Rio Rancho in 1978. She retired from the New York Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, NARFE and the American Legion Auxiliary. Viewing and visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2011, Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 8, 2011, Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel. Entombment will immediately follow services at Vista Verde Memorial Park. |
