  2. Since the child appeared to be near death after birth, Margaret Daniel, wife of Valentine, performed a baptism at home on October 26. A church ceremony was later performed on November 1 by the Rev. Xavier Mielinger, with George Daniel and Helena Schoen acting as sponsors.
  3. The tombstone inscription includes complete birth and death dates. The reading of the date of birth is in error, however, 1890 being read incorrectly as 1898.
