WILLARD -- Doris Marie Daniel, 71, 406 Fairview Ave.,
Galion, Ohio, died Friday, April 16, 1999, at home.
She was born Aug. 31, 1927, in Willard, and was a 1945
graduate of Galion High School.
She was a member of the St. Josephs Catholic Church in
Galion where she owned and operated Marshman's Beauty
Shop from 1960 until retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Ohio Historical Society, the Galion Historical Society, Hairdressers Affiliate 57 and Galion Community Theater. She was also an avid supporter of the arts.
She is survived by her five sisters, Donna M. Daniel of Galion, with whom she made her home, Suzanne Daniel and Rita Linn of Galion, Helen Philpott and Joanne Ambacher, both of Cleveland; two aunts, Alma Wise and Emma Daniel, both of Willard; 19 nieces and nephews; and 32 grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose L. and Gertrude U. (Daniel) Daniel; a brother-in-law; two nephews; and a niece.
Friends may call Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, 218 S. Market St., Galion, where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where a vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galion, with the Rev. Tony Borgia officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Galion.
